Winston Staffing has done a good job with keeping me employed and with a decent pay rate. The clients are very quick to respond to resumes and make hiring decisions.
Aways had issue with my paycheck. I always had a discrepancy with my paychecks. I would have take time out of my day to come into the office and prove their error and would have to wait the following week for my correct amount of money. It was very frustrating and I was told before working with them they do that type of thing. You work with good companies and gain experience while looking for permanent work. Only problem is there is no benefits, There is no longevity.
Good Agency to work for. Good Agency to work for even though the pay rate is somewhat low. However in terms of placement, they are efficient and placements can be sometimes for 6 months. Because it is a temp agency, most of the ratings aren't really relevant, because they're placing me at jobs at other organizations.
I will say that I'm very satisfied with the service that I have received from them. They placed me in a good position at the promised salary. You should know that in order to get placed, you really need to have a lot of experience in health care their specialty or in the field in general, and you need to be prepared to "hit the ground running" once you start working.
Good placement; responsive staff; weekly pay; easy time sheet system. They will help you find a job quickly. The company will get you interviews with clinics and hospitals and they also help with interview techniques. I like that I get to work in different specialties which allows me to get more experience in a variety of fields. Not a great place to work. Some staff are rude. Compensation does not match your role. Winston has many great opportunities to work in Hospitals or Big Companies.
I have recommended several of my friends to apply for Winston. You cna work for major Companies and can always come back if things dont work out. Winston Staffing is an temp agency which gives me the chance to work in different medical facilities. Working for Winston as given me the opportunity to gain the skills and qualification to be a productive employee. Not very helpful in locating employment. My job developer was very nice and attentive.
Overall as a whole not enthusiastic about placement. The pay rate was pretty good for temporary status. Great people to work for. Always have work available. I loved working for Winston. My recruiter was amazing. The office always have this welcoming feeling and the workers are very attentive. I worked with some really great people and learned a lot. We were more like a family at work rather than just co-workers.
Most assignments are an increase of learning for me. Each assignment has been different in their own way. Some were good impressionable, and a few were tombs down. The hardest part of the job is not having an assignment waiting for you when you complete the one before.
There is too much time in between assignments. The agency knows your deadline before you do because the job order comes directly to them. In most cases opinion wise, job orders need to be fulfilled before the assignments are ended.
You call the agency 2 weeks in advance to inform them the assignment is ending on a certain day, that should be more than enough time for them to find you another assignment.
Once again, that is my opinion. Overall speaking, the job orders are different in learning for each. The people are normally nice, and supervisors are pretty good most times. Great place to work, you can maintain both work and school if you are in school. Great for New grads. Great place to work if you recently graduated from college and would like to find a job as a recruiter. Not a lot of people stay longer than 2 months. If they do stay is because they don't have another option.
Benefits are not great. Your base with mo experience is 40K. A lot of flexibility in regards to work hours. At Winston Staffing, everyone tries their best to meet the needs of the employees. Horrible staffing agency that provides no service. My recruiter did not get me an interview for four weeks. I only got placed because the person was on vacation and I got a hold of their manager who informed me that I had been selected for an interview the next day.
I was also bulldozed in salary negotiation and got no feedback when I tried to properly negotiate before starting. They never answer the phone or respond to email. Some Staff members are great to work with. Everyday is a learning experience. Daily schedules are to be learned as the work flow begins until it ends.
Lots of unexpected changes. I learned to stay calm and handle situations as they come. No need to overload myself. The hardest part of the job is the lack of communication with physicians and nursing staff. Clerks usually learn what is happening as they occur. Most enjoyable part of the job is succeeding in the assistance to help a customer with a reward as pleasant as a smile or a thank you. Claim this company page Review this company.
